It's well above the standard of restaurants in Ethiopia. Well organised and trained staff running around. The interiors and decor are also quite nice and different from the usual level in Ethiopia... At the time when I visited, it was in the middle of filming a meal with a professional camera, which might be used for the menu or their website and so on. It was not shawarma, but it was chicken #wrap, as the menu said. It looked like shawarma but it was actually a wrapped pizza. The price of each meal is very expensive but seems to be worth it. Note that there are tables and seats on the mezzanine floor, but you're not allowed to sit down unless you're ordering a full meal, but the staff suggest you take a seat on the ground floor for a drink or a light meal such as a sandwich and wrap.
Upon entering Crave, you're greeted by a charming interior that radiates both comfort and style. The food at Crave is a genuine showstopper. The salads are consistently fresh and vibrant, offering a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Each bite is a testament to the careful selection of ingredients and the innovative blending of different elements. Their pasta dishes take you on a trip to Italy with each mouthful. Whether it's a hearty Bolognese or a simple Pesto Poasta, the pasta is always perfectly cooked and the sauces are brimming with flavor. But it's their chicken dishes that truly steal the show. Expertly cooked to moist, tender perfection, the chicken plates are a delicious testament to the kitchen's meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of flavors. The service at Crave is equally impressive. The owners' warmth and genuine care are evident in every interaction, making patrons feel truly valued. They are keen to offer recommendations tailored to individual preferences, and they consistently go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Highly highly recommend best spot in addis for italian food!! :D
Crave will make you crave for more! I first went to crave about a year ago with my entire family and was absolutely delighted with the whole experience I had, resulting in me going there more frequently. In my recent visit, upon my arrival, I was met with friendly and accommodating waitstaff which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that was shortly followed by flavourful, pleasant and authentic Italian cuisine. I had ordered the tagliatelle bolognaise and tortellini for my main course, chocolate cake for desert and I finally washed it all of with hot cappuccino which was all presented wonderfully besides tasting delectable. I highly recommend going to crave if you are looking for excellent food and service accompanied by an enjoyable time in Addis.
The pasta was incredibly rich and delicious. The portion was generous as we couldn't finish the pasta combo for two. I highly recommend this place.
Crave Café & Restaurant is a wonderful spot! The place is simple yet welcoming, and the atmosphere is very friendly. The food was absolutely perfect; the pizza was delicious, the pepper steak was cooked to perfection, and the Alfredo pasta was simply awesome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food in a relaxed setting.
Small and very bright place. Have tried the lasagna, farmers wife steak, pepper steak, lamb roast, grilled fish and chicken kebab here and was happy with everything. You cannot go wrong ordering a salad starter and they let you have half a portion too, if you want to have more space for the mains. Everything I had has been very good and done to good standards. On busy nights you may need to book early. So do that and enjoy!
It can get a bit crammed especially at lunch time because the place isn't that big but if you avoid those hours, you will love the experience. Their chicken pesto was one of the best meals I've ever tasted. The chicken wrap was also good. If you manage to avoid those busy hours, you will love the service as well.
Crave cafe and restaurant is one of the most and the best Italian restaurants in Addis. For many reasons why such as it has a welcoming and lovely atmosphere and the service there is never late and last but not least it’s amazing food filled with nothing but love . Not only is crave special but the food it holds is special to from the ravioli to the tortellini and the steak and so much more with each bite you take it gives you nothing but joy ,love , and warmth .
Delicious Italian food with good service. The tablecloth was a bit dirty but that's understandable. Not a must try but definitely go if you're in the area and looking for good food.
Great food, good service. I ordered a mango drink, pure mango. I also got a chicken wrap with fries. But the fries were not what I saw in the pictures they were seasoned steak fries which were really tasty. Oddly the chicken wrap I had was probably the best chicken wrap I've ever had in comparison to what I've eaten in the United States. But I think that's also due to the fact that the food here is not poisoned with harmful pesticides, herbicides, hormone pumped up animals, and other poisons in the food that's in the United States.
